What’s the main difference between independ stores and big players? Big player always hope to catch majority of consumers, as many as they can. But independant is focusing on certain consumers. Simply speaking, their target audience is different which should lead to different tactics. Independant needn’t compete with big player on their products, price, marketing etc. Independant can work out who love them but not big players and why. Then they can be friend, fashion adviser, experts on eyewear or eye care, or other characters, I don’t know, to their “fans” or consumers.
Two main points of survive, First, devote for limited people who really love and believe you. Sencond, keep those people as long as enough in life.
