Most safety eyewear assumes the wearer has perfect vision. On a workshop floor, in a lab or on a site that is rarely true – and the usual workaround, wearing safety glasses over prescription glasses, leaves two frames competing for the same bridge, fogs both lenses and puts the side shield in the wrong place. This frame is built the other way round: the prescription insert sits behind the shield, so the eye is protected and corrected at the same time.
The front runs a continuous curve into the temple, with an integrated side shield that closes the gap ordinary spectacles leave open at the outer corner. Clear lenses keep colour and depth perception intact, which matters when the job depends on judging material or distance rather than on blocking sunlight. The black finish stays neutral against uniforms and hi-vis clothing.
Where this frame fits
- Workshops and machine shops where chipping, dust or spray is a daily risk
- Laboratories handling small volumes of liquid
- Construction and site work that needs correction and protection together
- Gardening, DIY and maintenance where ordinary glasses are too exposed
Buying notes for distributors
One model covers the whole range, which keeps stock simple: no left and right, no size ladder, no colour matrix to forecast. Because the front is a single black shape, a distributor can offer a prescription insert service without doubling the SKU count – the insert is supplied separately and fitted by the optician, so the frame itself stays a stock item that sells to both prescription and non-prescription buyers.
Logo printing, frame colour, lens tint and packaging can be customised from 300 pcs per style. If you want the frame and the insert paired under one brand, we can quote the two together so they arrive as one pack.
Full specifications are listed above. For test reports, samples or a quote on mixed quantities, send your requirements and we will come back with the details.
Frequently asked questions
Can these safety glasses take prescription lenses?
Yes. The frame is built around a prescription insert that sits behind the shield, so the front lens stays as supplied and the correction is fitted by an optician. That keeps one stock SKU working for both prescription and non-prescription buyers.
Can they be worn over existing prescription glasses?
They can, but that is not what they are designed for. Two frames on one bridge fog up, shift the side shield out of position and lose the seal at the brow. An insert avoids all three.
Are they suitable for outdoor work?
The clear lens is the right choice where colour and depth perception matter. If the job is outdoors in daylight, ask about a tinted version of the same front – we can quote clear and tinted together so a site kit covers both.
What does a first order look like?
12 pcs per colour from ready stock for a trial, and 300 pcs per style where you need a custom logo, frame colour, lens tint or packaging.
Do you supply test reports?
Send the standard you need to work to and we will confirm what documentation is available for this model before you commit to an order.
